TRUMPF SiberHegner changed to TRUMPF China (Hong Kong ) Limited |

TRUMPF SiberHegner Limited, the Hong Kong based joint venture company of TRUMPF and its partner DKSH, the Market Expansion Services Group with focus on Asia, has changed its name to TRUMPF China (Hong Kong) Limited. This is the result of an agreement between TRUMPF and DKSH to extend the joint venture for another ten years and to increase TRUMPF’s stake in the joint venture to 74,9%. The extension of the cooperation further strengthens the successful long-term partnership between the two companies DKSH and TRUMPF which started already in 1995. The joint venture manages marketing, sales, distribution and after-sales service for TRUMPF products in the dynamically developing Chinese market. It combines the innovative products of TRUMPF and DKSH’s network in China, capitalizing on the synergies available through DKSH’s existing activities in the Chinese automotive, aviation and sheet metal forming industries. The modified joint venture is part of TRUMPF’s overall effort to further expand its activities in China. In May of this year already TRUMPF laid the cornerstone for a new production building in Taicang in which three of TRUMPF’s current production locations in China will be concentrated from July 2009 on. In the coming years, the company will continue to invest in China to better serve the requirements and needs of its local customers. TRUMPF will continue to expand its closely knit sales and service network that already covers the important Chinese industry regions. Currently TRUMPF has over 200 employees in Greater China. Sales revenue over the last five years has grown by an average of 40 percent per year. For fiscal year 2007/2008, which ends on June 30, the company expects its sales revenue to be about 70 million Euros. |
