TRUMPF Welcomes the Chinese Delegation to the INTECH 2007

TRUMPF SiberHegner Ltd. invited twenty-three, potential and VIP, Chinese customers to tour around TRUMPF plants in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The trip was a week long; from November 27th to December 4th 2007. The customers came from different cities in China, such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Xiamen, Dongguan and Hong Kong. The customers were very impressed by the advanced and innovative technology designed and instituted by TRUMPF and very satisfied with the considerate arrangements as well.

Visit of TRUMPF Gruesch Factory

The delegation first arrived in Switzerland and was warmly welcomed in an old castle, Castle Sargans, with a traditional Swiss dinner. The next day they drove to TRUMPF Gruesch, they were given a tour of the TRUMPF laser machine assembly line, the demo center for Laser Markers, and the TRUMPF power tools show room. The delegation was quite impressed by the advanced management system, which insures the excellent quality and precise delivery of TRUMPF machines. Later on they paid a visit to a job shop using TRUMPF laser, punching and bending machines. As most of our Chinese customers came from a job shop background, they were inspired by the automatic processing procedures.

After a short stay in Switzerland, the delegation headed to TRUMPF headquarter in Ditzingen, Germany to visit the INTECH, an in-house exhibition for customers. On 1st December Dr. Mathias Kammueller, Head of the Machine Tool and Power Tool Division of TRUMPF Group welcomed our guests at the Sales and Service Centre. Dr. Eva Schwinghammer, Managing Director of TRUMPF SiberHegner Ltd. guided the delegation to the TRUMPF Demo Centre and the production sites of laser machines.

TRUMPF Show room was full of visitors

During five days of INTECH exhibition, 1.400 companies visited TRUMPF. There were over 20 delegations from 16 different countries. Six lectures were held daily in several places. About 1.100 hotel rooms were booked in the area around Ditzingen. The program included machine presentations, lectures and exhibitions – everything under the motto Switzerland.

Finally the delegation then headed to TRUMPF Pasching in Austria, the leading producer of TRUMPF bending machines. TRUMPF Pasching is now expanding the plant for a second time. The delegation had a very nice time during their stay in Europe. Apart from the company tours, they also went sightseeing in old cities such as Heidelberg, Ludwigsburg in Germany and famous Vienna in Austria. All customers greatly appreciated this opportunity to learn more about TRUMPF and European Culture.
